Tibor Kalman
Tibor kalman, (July 6, 1949-May 2, 1999) was an american graphic designer of Hungarian origin. He is well known for his work as editor in chief of colors magazine. Tibor worked a lot on the organisation called colors. The colors organisation focuses on multiculturalism and global awareness. One of kalmans colour magazine he would alter the colour of people to make them a different race and his other colour magazines might just have a powerful image and added text to make people understand the message he's trying to come across. This is one of tibor kalmans pieces, a photo of queen Elizabeth race swapped.

I like this photo as its different and has a strong message to people, I think at the time it was made nobody thought the queen as a another race other than white. He was showing equality between different races and he had that in a lot of his work and that was his social issue. I think his work has made an impact as there has been changes towards how society treats members of another race.
Adbusters
Adbusters is a Canadian based organisation founded in 1989 by Kalle lasn and bill schmalz in vancouver, British Colombia. They focus on exposing what big brands are really doing, they insult many other companies with their designs as they usually alter the slogan and the product in the image.

I think this ad is trying to say to the people are they happy now because the burger is tall and big and its enough to fill you up.
Brandalism:
Brandalism is an anti-advertising organisation found in London in July 2012. They want to stop advertising as they see it as the worst thing in life. They design things they don't agree on and then they alter it to make it convey what they want. They post these around the city on things like billboards and posters and on bus stops.

This is a image from brandalism, and I think the image says something it shows that this advert shows people in a natural hazard, but the title is kinda sarcastic as its going opposite to the picture.
ext: include another designer working on social issues, we also looked at Jonathan barn brook, David Gentleman and Bruce Mau
