Evaluation
The magazine overall turned out well, I like the colour of it its red and grey that's the theme all through the magazine. I like the way the fashion page turned out which is the one i worked on, i do like the way Kacper laid it out.
In the beginning we did have some ups and downs because some of us were leaving the work to the last minute and that's why we took a long time to finish. I was asked to take pictures for the magazine, included taking pictures on parents evening, but when i saw them back they were blurry and completely out of focus. I already knew that these pictures were not going to be featured in the magazine as they were not up to standards. Kasper then asked me if I wanted to design the fashion page and i agreed to it.
For the fashion page I had to do some research, I looked at other fashion magazines like vogue, in style and Cosmopolitan. I also was looking at different layouts for the magazines and I was thinking about the content what i'm going to write. Our group was struggling to keep up and we struggled to communicate with each other because we never bothered to. Martin and Vinny decided that Aaingel will step in to help us to be more organised and to know clearly what were doing. I think that did help the group a lot because after that we knew straight away what we were doing and we had a lot more done, I think the problem was communication. Nobody was communicating with each other so you can lose track of what your doing so I know that the key thing to a make a good project in time with your group is communication. Aksel and I had to take pictures of some of the students in the class, we did that so we can see what there wearing to be featured in the fashion page. I did get some feedback from the pictures we took and that they were blurry, I then knew that next time i have to adjust the camera to put it in focus and i have learned how to put a camera in focus when Vinny taught me because I wasn't sure before. I gave the pictures to Kasper and he decided which pictures would go in the magazine, I also had to come up with the content of the magazine for people to read. I did an interview with a student in the class called Melanie and I just asked her for her winter makeup tips and that would also be featured in the magazine.That bit was obviously to target girls if they wanted some makeup tips. I also wanted the fashion page to have a fashion word search so i made one, but it wasn't featured in the magazine as i think there was another word search on another page so Kasper probably didn't see the point of featuring it even though he didn't communicate it with me. I should of communicated it with Kacper in the beginning and then he would of let me know that i didn't need to make it.
We all had different roles into making this magazine, Aksel and I were in charge of taking pictures, Aksel also made the front cover, Ashmit did the movie reviews, Hussain did the game reviews, Ryan did the page layouts and Kasper was making sure the magazine was looking right all the way. Kasper was in charge so whatever we did we had to show him or just give it to him and he will put it in the magazine.
Overall, I think that maybe we could have done better with our time management, we definitely needed a group meeting to know where everyone was at because we didn't communicate well with each other, we only spoke in class and really we should be speaking more outside of class too, even though we did have a group chat we only spoke on it sometimes it was very brief. We knew that communication was the problem in the group. Other than that i am pleased with what the magazine looks like it does look quite interesting and I am pleased with the fashion page. I asked my target audience if they liked the fashion page
